Visual NOTAM context

Graphical NOTAMs for training awareness

Graphical NOTAM concepts help people understand where a surface restriction sits on an airport map. TaxiwayClosed AI uses that idea for training, not operations.

Training and awareness only. Not official and not valid for flight planning, dispatch, taxi, navigation, or flight operations.

Why visual context helps

NOTAM-style text can be dense, abbreviated, and easy to detach from the physical airport layout. A graphical training view can help users understand where a referenced runway, taxiway, apron, or movement area may sit on the airport surface.

Graphical review is helpful only when the limitation is clear: visualization is not the same as official completeness, certification, or operational approval.

What a good graphical NOTAM training view should include

Visible raw source text

Users should be able to compare any summary or map cue with the original wording.

Map context

Surface geometry should make it easier to locate runways, taxiways, aprons, and airport boundaries.

Time context

Dates, times, schedules, and freshness should be shown when available.

Limitation language

The page and app must keep official-source verification front and center.

TaxiwayClosed positioning

TaxiwayClosed AI is a training-only airport surface NOTAM awareness app. It should be used to learn and review, not to replace official briefing workflows or approved operational tools.
